The folks of Neowin.com tried to imagine how Windows Phone 8.1 will look like and in the process created a brand new Nokia handset. I should rather say phablet, since the Nokia Lumia 1080 is a 5.5 inch device with a stylus and serious handwriting input.

Nokia Lumia 1080 features a Super AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution, it measures 8.5 mm in thickness and weighs 160 grams. It comes in 32 GB and 64 GB versions and it offers a microSD card slot with support for up to 64 GB in extra storage. There’s 7 GB of cloud storage available and 2 GB of RAM among the specs. Inside the Lumia 1080 there’s a quad core Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.3 GHz, the Adreno 330 GPU and at the back we’ve got a 16 megapixel Pureview camera with dual LED flash and 1080p 60 FPS video capture.

There’s a 2.2 MP front camera, a 3200 mAh battery inside and Gorilla Glass 3 protection upfront. We’ve also got a fingerprint reader at the back of the phablet and a beautiful stylus shown in the images below. The handset uses a polycarbonate body and as far as Windows Phone 8.1 goes, it comes with a greater flexibility of the Live Tile display. There’s a broader range of customization to personalize your device.
Displays over 5.5 inches with Full HD resolutions can show up to 6 tiles across the Start screen. On lower resolution displays the maximum tile width is 4. You can also break your Start screen in sections and make it easier to find content and apps you need. Finally, the Neowin Windows Phone 8.1 conceptintroduces a new Notifications Hub, in which events are logged as they happen.
