Nokia Lumia 1080 Mockup Runs Windows Phone 8.1 Concept
The folks of Neowin.com tried to imagine how Windows Phone 8.1 will look like and in the process created a brand new Nokia handset. I should rather say phablet, since the Nokia Lumia 1080 is a 5.5 inch device with a stylus and serious handwriting input.
Nokia Lumia 1080 features a Super AMOLED screen with Full HD resolution, it measures 8.5 mm in thickness and weighs 160 grams. It comes in 32 GB and 64 GB versions and it offers a microSD card slot with support for up to 64 GB in extra storage. There’s 7 GB of cloud storage available and 2 GB of RAM among the specs. Inside the Lumia 1080 there’s a quad core Snapdragon 800 processor at 2.3 GHz, the Adreno 330 GPU and at the back we’ve got a 16 megapixel Pureview camera with dual LED flash and 1080p 60 FPS video capture.
There’s a 2.2 MP front camera, a 3200 mAh battery inside and Gorilla Glass 3 protection upfront. We’ve also got a fingerprint reader at the back of the phablet and a beautiful stylus shown in the images below. The handset uses a polycarbonate body and as far as Windows Phone 8.1 goes, it comes with a greater flexibility of the Live Tile display. There’s a broader range of customization to personalize your device.
Displays over 5.5 inches with Full HD resolutions can show up to 6 tiles across the Start screen. On lower resolution displays the maximum tile width is 4. You can also break your Start screen in sections and make it easier to find content and apps you need. Finally, the Neowin Windows Phone 8.1 conceptintroduces a new Notifications Hub, in which events are logged as they happen.

iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 Wraparound Display Concepts Look Hot! (Video)
Created by Fabio Basile and Claudio Guglieri, the new iPhone 5S and iPhone 6 concepts shown below are based on the idea of a wraparound screen. The video is created by Ran Avni and both devices are very interesting.
The iPhone 5S features a wrap around screen, iOS 7, the Apple A7 processor and a brand new design with a 4.2 inch screen. We’ve also got a new Home button and much more novelties, including probably a 12 megapixel camera with dual LED flash. The iPhone 6 adopts the same wraparound edge to edge display idea, a new Home button and improved cameras.
There’s a capacitive volume indicator on board, the Apple A7X chip, a thinner case and a 5.1 inch screen. Overall, the design is greatly similar to the iPhone 5, apart from the bezel free screen and the very decreased thickness of the iPhone 6. Would you buy a beautiful slab of metal and glass like these?
Nokia Lumia 1025 Phablet concept
The brilliant account Phone Designer on Facebook is in fact the place where you can find the works of Jonas Daehnert, a great designers of Nokia concept phones. His latest work involves the Nokia Lumia 1025 phablet, with a 6 inch 1920 x 1152 pixel screen.
The design is inspired by the leaks shown below, that have been appearing on the web lately, saying we’re bound to get a Nokia phablet launched in the near future. Nokia has a big event scheduled for September 25th or so, maybe a return of its famous Nokia World series of events. Anyway, back to the Lumia 1025, this phablet features a 15:9 aspect, it’s just 8 mm thick and it’s a power house.
The design seems to be metallic and we get a 12 megapixel Pureview camera at the back. The camera area resembles the one of the Nokia Lumia 1020, so this is basically that model, only bigger and probably packing a stylus somewhere on the side. We already showed you another Nokia Lumia 1025 concept and they keep on coming!
